Alexis is a Registered Dietitian originally from Vancouver, BC. She graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and completed her Dietetic Internship with Nova Scotia Health.

In addition to working at Kohr Method, Alexis works in various Nova Scotia Health hospitals providing nutrition care to inpatients. She is passionate about various areas of nutrition including chronic disease prevention and management, diabetes, and intuitive eating. Alexis aims to practice from a non-judgemental and weight-inclusive approach, where she provides a safe space for clients to work in collaboration with her to build a healthy, enjoyable, sustainable lifestyle. In Alexis’ spare time, you may find her hiking, walking, weightlifting, climbing, baking, or curled up reading a good book.

Heidi is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle through whole foods and activity! Upon completing her undergraduate degree in Applied Human Nutrition at St.F.X, Heidi followed her interests in nutrition and research to pursue a Master of Science in Applied Human Nutrition at MSVU, where she graduated at the top of her class. Heidi has practical experience counselling and creating personalized meal plans for individuals with a variety of health and nutrition-related concerns including, but not limited to: obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and inflammatory diseases. Heidi is eager to help all of her clients improve their health through obtaining a healthy, delicious, balanced diet that works for them! As a former varsity track and field athlete, Heidi has personal experience in athletics and a keen interest in sport nutrition. She has combined her own experiences with her nutrition education by helping youth and adults optimize their competitive or recreational activity through nutrition!  Heidi currently specializes in nutrition counselling, along with delivering interactive nutrition-focused presentations and specialized workplace wellness programs at Actual Nutrition in Dartmouth.

Kelsey Kennedy is a dietitian and wellness facilitator with the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As part of the interdisciplinary Community Health Team, she delivers group wellness programs on the topics of food, nutrition, and weight management and helps connect individuals with resources in the community to support their health goals. 

Kelsey completed her Bachelor of Science and dietetic internship with the University of Prince Edward Island and practiced as a dietitian for several years before pursuing a Masters of Health Science (Nutrition Communication) from Ryerson University.

Kelsey’s previous work experiences have primarily focused around public health and community nutrition programs. In addition to her community-based experiences, Kelsey has worked as an instructor at Acadia University and as a consulting dietitian.

As a dietitian for over 20 years and a mother of 3 active children, I offer a wealth of experience and knowledge in adult and child nutrition. I graduated from St. Francis Xavier University and interned at the Victoria General Hospital. I worked in food production in Ottawa for a few years; clinical and community nutrition in Northern Newfoundland for a number of years; pharmaceutical sales in Toronto and as a Family Health Team Dietitian for the Thames Valley Health Team in London, ON. I moved to Nova Scotia with my family in 2012 and have joined the Atlantic Superstore as one of their in-store dietitians. Madison is a Registered Dietitian, based out of Halifax, with a background in outpatient counselling for general healthy eating, PCOS management, prenatal nutrition, and female hormone health. She has experience working both 1-on-1 for nutrition counselling and group education.


Madison attended St. Francis Xavier University where she completed her BSc in Human Nutrition with Honours and Integrated Dietetic Internship.


Nutrition has always been an important aspect of Madison’s life whether it was Sunday night family dinners or being in the kitchen with her parents, she holds food and nutrition near and dear to her heart. Madison believes that above all else food can both be enjoyed and contribute benefits to our health. Megan graduated from Acadia University in 2020 and completed her internship in 2021 on the South Shore of Nova Scotia in various hospital settings, a long-term care facilities and through a community placement.

During her undergrad, Megan discovered her passion for Sports Nutrition through counselling the Acadia Varsity Football team, who went on to win the AUS Championship in 2019. Being an athlete herself, she understands the importance of proper nutrition, and has seen first hand what impact it may have in performance.

Megan is very enthusiastic when it comes to nutrition education and takes a client-centred approach in all her sessions. She is committed to helping her clients find a balance between whole and nutrient dense foods, as well as including foods that they truly enjoy. Megan is realistic when it comes to making food changes fit and understands that for many people this is balancing proper nutrition on top of a busy lifestyle.

Susan just retired from Nova Scotia Health Authority where she practiced as a Clinical Dietitian in Nutrition Education Clinics and specialized in Eating Disorders. She has her Masters in Health Education, Diploma in Adult Education, and various Counselling Skills Courses. She also provided nutrition support for inpatients in a small community hospital, and residents in a community Long Term Care Facility on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. She consulted with the Food Service Departments and conducted bedside dysphagia assessments with a Hearing and Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist. She hopes to start a private Nutrition Education practice and specialize in Eating Disorders. She has worked closely with the NSHA Eating Disorder Clinic and has a variety of experience with general nutrition related needs including gastrointestinal problems, vegetarian eating, weight loss, etc. She enjoys meeting people and seeing how people manage their health in a variety of circumstances and finds it rewarding to help others improve their health in ways that are achievable for them . 

Although based in Mineville, she can also consult with people in Halifax, Dartmouth, on-line, and by phone.
