Work experience as a clinical dietitian (primarily in cancer care and neurology); as a Clinical Nutrition Manager; consultant in nutrition program development and evaluation (national to local programs). Most recently, Full Professor at Acadia University. Currently independent scholar, writer, speaker, educator, and consultant.

Founding member of World Critical Dietetics; Life Member - Dietitians of Canada. 

Author of 'No Love Like It: Feeding Someone Who is Sick" (FriesenPress, 2025), a creative non-fiction book combining research reporting, personal memoir, creative writing, and theatre scenes. 

Current writing projects involves extending the reach of research findings through integration of performance experiences in dance, music, and theatre.
