Today, supporting our local restaurants and food and beverage suppliers is more important than ever. Taste of Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, is working to compile a province-wide resource, Get Your Hands on Local, to help you source local food and drink in your community. From restaurants offering dine in service and take-out, to local food & beverage suppliers, markets & retailers offering online ordering, pickup, delivery and retail options, use this guide to get your hands on local.

Although this may or may not have anything to do with healthy eating, we thought this event from the Mental

Health Foundation of NS is an awesome and fun family event and also a fundraiser! While enjoying your ‘staycation’ in NS this summer, why not take part in this Staycation Scavenger Crawl with chance to win great prizes, and help raise money for Mental Health in NS! Visit any of the 20 participating tourist destinations between now and September for your chance to win weekly prizes. Send photos from all 20 tourist sites and you’ll be be entered to win one of the Grand prizes.
