New Supplemental Food Facts Label and front-of-pack caution labels in Canada

New labelling requirements for supplemented foods were announced in July 2022, and over the next few months, new labelling will begin appearing in the Canadian marketplace. Affected products are those supplemented with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and/or caffeine. Some supplemented products, such as those that contain caffeine or zinc, must also include a front-of-package caution label and back-of-package caution box indicating which consumer groups (i.e. people who are under 14, or pregnant) should not consume the product.
